Network for Public Education

In San Jose for the CAEYC conference (CA Association for the Education of Young Children) I’m reminded of how much good work goes into Early Childhood Classrooms and how much Early Childhood Educators are encouraged to look at the whole child, are able to assess development to inform practice, and so far are not bound by inconceivably inappropriate high stakes testing. To that end please support the Network for Public Education. It’s very sad that so much energy needs to expended in defending students and their teachers against corporate greed; energy that could be used to actually teach and connect in a meaningful way. But this is the reality we’re facing and this is the battle that must be won.
